I was watching a film about Mahatma Gandhi.	ನಾನು ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧಿಯವರ ಬಗೆಗಿನ ಸಿನಿಮಾ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ.
That sounds interesting. Tell me  more about it.	ಇದು ಆಸಕ್ತಿದಾಯಕವಾಗಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಇದರ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಇನ್ನಷ್ಟು ಹೇಳು.
The film started with his non violent protest  in South Africa after he was thrown off the train.	ಸಿನಿಮಾ ಅವರನ್ನು ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾದ ಒಂದು ಟ್ರೈನ್‍ನಿಂದ ಹೊರಹಾಕಲಾದ ನಂತರ ಅವರ ಅಹಿಂಸಾ ಸತ್ಯಗ್ರಹದಿಂದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು.

He was thrown off as he was travelling in the First class compartment.	ಅವರು ಪ್ರಥಮ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯ ಕಂಪಾರ್ಟ್‍ಮೆಂಟ್‍ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಹಾಕಲಾಯಿತು.
Indians were not allowed to travel in the first class compartments.	ಭಾರತೀಯರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಥಮ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯ ಕಂಪಾರ್ಟ್‍ಮೆಂಟ್‍ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಯಾಣ ಮಾಡುವಂತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

Later, he came to India and fought for its independence from the British.	ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ, ಅವರು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಬ್ರಿಟಿಶರಿಂದ ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಡಿದರು.

Making questions in "Past continuous tense"	"Past Continuous Tense" ನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವುದು
Questions can be formed in the Past Continuous Tense by using ‘was’/ ‘were’ and ‘WH words’.	Past Continuous Tense ನಲ್ಲಿ ‘was’/ ‘were’  ಮತ್ತು ‘WH words’ ಬಳಸಿ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ.
‘Not’ is added after ‘was’/ ‘were’ to form negative questions in the Past Continuous Tense – was not (wasn’t), were not (weren’t).	Past Continuous Tense ನಲ್ಲಿ ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ರಚಿಸಲು ‘was’/ ‘were’ ನ ನಂತರ  ‘Not’ ಅನ್ನು ಸೇರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ - was not (wasn’t), were not (weren’t).

Was he playing football?	ಅವನು ಫುಟ್‍ಬಾಲ್ ಆಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನೇ?
Were they studying in the morning?	ಅವರು ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಅಧ್ಯಯನ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ?
wasn't she talking to him/ her?	ಅವಳು ಅವನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ?

Making Positive and Negative Sentences in Past Continuous Tense  using ‘WH Words'	Past Continuous Tense ನಲ್ಲಿ ‘WH Words’ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಮತ್ತು ನಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ವಾಕ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ರಚಿಸುವುದು
What was he doing there?	ಅವನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಏನನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದ?
Where were they going?	ಅವರು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು?
When were they coming?	ಅವರು ಯಾವಾಗ ಬರುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು?
How was she working there?	ಅವಳು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಳು?
Why weren't they going to the college?	ಅವರು ಕಾಲೇಜ್‍ಗೆ ಏಕೆ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
