परिचय

Comparative Degree दो लोगों या चीजों के बीच एक गुणवत्ता (Quality) की तुलना करने के लिए प्रयोग किया जाता है

Comparative Degree दो तरह से बनाया जाता है :

विशेषण के बाद “er” लगाकर

विशेषण से पहले “more” लगाकर

हम आमतौर पर Comparative Degree बनाने के लिए छोटे विशेषण के बाद 'er' लगाते है

Adjectives Meaning Comparative Degree 

Big बड़ा Bigger 

Small छोटा Smaller 

Tall लम्बा Taller 

Cold ठंडा Colder 

Hot गरम Hotter

उदाहरण

Ram is taller than Shyam.    राम श्याम से लम्बा है| 

They are richer than us.    वो हमसे अमीर है| 

I am poorer than her.     मैं उससे ग़रीब हूँ| 

Mohan runs faster than Deepak.    मोहन दीपक से तेज़ भागता है|

हम आमतौर पर Comparative Degree बनाने के लिए बड़े विशेषण से पहले ‘more’ लगाते है

Maths is more difficult than Science.     गणित विज्ञान से कठिन है| 

Sachin Tendulkar is more popular than Ricky Ponting.    सचिन तेंदुलकर रिकी पोंटिंग से लोकप्रिय है|
